BNIT Institute Council talks infrastructure
The Infrastructure Sub-Committee of Council is presently undertaking a comprehensive study of the future requirements of the Institute, taking into account our probable transition to Statutory Authority status on July 1, 2009.
This Committee is chaired by Professor Stephen Towers and includes several other well qualified Council members together with Institute Director, Lynne Foley, Institute Director of Educational Strategy and Governance, Mr Geoff Bird and Council Chair, Darrell Butcher.
The Institute is well advanced with its long term Infrastructure Plan and is keen to ensure that its implementation will result in the most efficient use of existing facilities and includes recommendations for the consolidation and modernisation of underutilised infrastructure.
With seven campuses and numerous delivery points servicing the training needs of over 30,000 clients it is clearly obvious that our Infrastructure Sub-Committee has an enormous responsibility in its role within one of the largest Institutes of its kind in Queensland.
